MCCDAQ USB-231 Installation Steps

Hi,

 

We have a MCC DAQ USB-231 and in the installation process of the attached document it says to refer the company website for all the steps of installation. When visited, the website does not have any steps on how to install the software.

Can you please share the detail steps of installation of USB-231.

Hello @Bharath Gourabathuni.

Download and install the MCCDAQ Software onto your Windows OS system.

Connect your USB-231 module to the target system and then launch MCC's InstaCal utility to detect the device.

Afterwards, close InstaCal and launch DAQami to use the device.

Login to Digilent's Cloud for a DAQami license key.

Take a look at the following YouTube video for using DAQami.

Does using MCCDAQ software and DAQami affect the configuration of the system in which I'm using and if so does that impact my results?

Do you have an existing configuration?  I am looking at a black box application right now based on what's given.  What are you attempting to do?  Please provide additional information regarding any existing configuration or if you are intending to use the USB-231 for a new application.

Now trying to connect it to a Optical Power Meter to read certain segments. I have installed Instacal and in instacal, I'm trying to figure out what is the exact configuration like which board to be selected and which channel to be used

Hello @Bharath Gourabathuni.

Have you or your colleagues used the USB-231 with an optical power meter previously? 

Do you have a datasheet of the optical power meter?

Have you reviewed the specifications of the USB-231 to determine if it is suitable for your application?

Double click on the USB-231 in InstaCal to set the analog input channels to differential mode.
