I am trying to program the SPI protocol on some of the DIO lines of my digital discovery while setting the other dio lines to certain values as needed. I had read some previous posts that mentioned being able to use static io at the same time but can't seem to find information regarding setting the lines using the sdk.
Does the SPI protocol use the same digital out configure as presented in the sdk?
Is there a way to set values on the dio lines not being used by the protocol such that they are held and changed in between sending data over the SPI protocol?
For reference I have been looking at some of the samples provided:

Hi,
I am trying to program the SPI protocol on some of the DIO lines of my digital discovery while setting the other dio lines to certain values as needed. I had read some previous posts that mentioned being able to use static io at the same time but can't seem to find information regarding setting the lines using the sdk.

Is there a way to set values on the dio lines not being used by the protocol such that they are held and changed in between sending data over the SPI protocol?
For reference I have been looking at some of the samples provided:
DigitalOut_BinaryCounter/Pins.py and
Digital_SPi.py
Thanks for your time
