Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy with AD2 in Python

Hannes

Question

Hello all!

I am working on a project in which I want to use the four electrode method for impedance spectroscopy on a living plant. I am a beginner using the DWF system.

The method consists of two pairs of electrodes, where the first pair is used to apply an alternating current on the sample tissue, whereas the other pair will concurrently measure the resulting voltage drop. The code will sweep over a set of frequencies to get a spectroscopy result.

I am having some issues with defining my channels. I am also not sure what functions (or 'constants' as they are called in the dwfconstants.py) that would enable me to apply the current with two electrodes while measuring with the other two at the same time.

The project in the forum post below seems very similar to mine, but does not use python.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hannes
