Febian Febian
Dear all, Does anyone ever designed or making a PCB that tries to convert the ZMOD Port into USB C port. I am trying to make one but I couldn't find any configuration of ZMOD port/connector anywhere. Any advice on where to start from?
0 zygot
Yes, get the SYZYGY standards from Opal Kelly's website. They also have KiCAD PCB samples, though you might have some difficulty with KiCAD version issues. When you say that you want to have a SYZYGY USB type C port... what exactly are you wanting to do? BTW. Opal Kelly sells standard pod and transceiver pod breakout boards for prototyping. They aren't perfect for any project but, you might find them useful as a way to connect a USB 2.0 bridge to your platform. Be aware that SYZYGY requires a uC for DNA negotiation to set power supply voltages among other things. Edited November 9, 2023 by zygot
