Error while trying to use oscilloscope using python-pwdwf library and Analog Discovery 2

Charana

Question

I'm receiving the following error when I run a Python script that schedules a data recording from the oscilloscope of Analog Discovery 2. There is 5 mins gap between each schedule. The script was working fine a few weeks back, and now I'm getting the following error.

Since the same code is running on different computers, I wonder if this issue is with the devices or the version of the libraries I'm using.

PyDwfError: DWF Library Error 'UnknownError' (1): 'JTAG init failed, the device may be used by another application.\nDjtgEnable failed.\nDevice programming failed.\nDevice:AD2 rev:3 cfg:2 WF:3.20.1\nFDwfDeviceOpenEx'

pydwf version: pydwf 1.1.17

waveforms version: 3.20.1

Hello @Charana.

You mentioned that your script "was working fine a few weeks back" on this particular system.  What changed, i.e. updated WaveForms, updated Windows OS?

Which versions of WaveForms and Windows OS are running on the other 'working' systems, as well as this system?

Which JTAG cable are you using?

Can you swap your Analog Discovery 2 with a unit from a 'good system'?

Regards,

Fausto
