Defective Analog Discovery 3?

denis

Question

Just unboxed a brand new Discovery 3. Computer detected it without any problem and software installed with no errors.

With nothing connected on the scope instead of flat lines I'm getting below signal and changing channels sensitivity doesn't affect it. Not a great start. Do I just send it back?

Hello @denis.

Do any of the pins in the side opening look bent?

Did you connect the 2×15-pin flywire assembly to the Analog Discovery 3?  If not, please connect the flywire assembly to the Analog Discovery 3.

Next, please close WaveForms and use the following link to download and install the latest WaveForms beta.

Afterwards, follow step #3 in the Getting Started Guide.  https://digilent.com/reference/test-and-measurement/analog-discovery-3/getting-started

Are your results similar to the guide or still bad?

Regards,

Fausto

Ok, so I got this resolved. This behavior was exhibited when connecting through the external USB hub.

When connected directly to computer's USB port it appears to be working as expected. I'll keep an eye on it, but for now we can call it good. Thank you for looking into it.
