0 Fausto
Hello @Brogatzki. Which versions of Windows, DASYLab, and NI MAX are installed on each system? What are the hardware specifications of each system? Which NI devices are you using and are they connected to the target system via USB or Ethernet? Are there other processes running in the background, which are not running on the other systems? Regards, Fausto
0 Brogatzki
Hello Fausto, Windows 7 Pro DASYLab 2020.1 Full NI Max 20.0 NI cDAQ-9185 (Ethernet) NI 9202 (DSUB) NI 9202 (DSUB) NI 9212 (3) TC-32s +(3) EXP connected via USB No other processes running in the background aside from Excel, but this is common among both systems. Both systems are identical in terms of hardware. Measurement Setup in DASYLab Sampling rate: 10Hz Block Size 1 All other selections are not useable Time Bases in DASYLab Time base: DASYLab Sampling rate: 10Hz Blocksize: 1 Current sampling: DASYLab Current Interface: DASYLab Let me know if you need more information. 0 Fausto
@Brogatzki, Thanks for the reply. Please confirm whether or not both systems have a Windows 7 service pack installed. Does each system have their own set of NI and MCC devices or are the daq devices shared between systems? If using multiple NI cDAQ-9185 devices, can swap that device between systems and retest your worksheet? If you are using the exact same DASYLab worksheet on both systems, then it may be a hardware issue. The errors (-50352 and -200279) are associated with the NI-DAQmx AI (Signals2) module, which receives signals from the NI cDAQ-9185. Please verify the Ethernet connection, i.e. cable, switch, router). Is the Ethernet connection different between systems? Regards, Fausto
0 Brogatzki
Confirmed They have explicit hardware devices (do not share) We potentially could swap, but this will be downtime for our lab as it will void our calibration, I will take this into consideration. The two cDAQs and corresponding hardware are located in an seperate enclosure and are then routed to a common ethernet switch which is then routed to each respective PC. What does the error message mean? specifically "application is not able to keep up with the hardware acquisition. Increasing buffer size... might correct the problem" Is there anything in software settings we could manipulate to correct this?
0 Fausto
Thanks for confirming. A user must create a task for the NI device in NI-MAX. Please confirm that task is the same on both systems? Your sampling rate is only 10 Hz and a block size of 1, so you're not overworking the application. Please confirm that the DASYLab worksheet is the same on both systems, especially each worksheet module's configuration.
