Hi Forum. I would like to control a programmable power supply using Waveforms providing a "Supplies" interface like that made available to me when I select DPS3340 in demo mode. This power supply has well documented MODBUS and SCPI protocol support over USB 2.0 port. Having programmed MODBUS and having looked at the SCPI manual I'm guessing these are quite vendor-specific syntax so really no way to generalize to make useful to others ? I see only one way to implement using SDK to create my own exe/lib using perhaps a SCPI library that exists to facilitate. But is there a way to integrate such an app into Waveforms ecosystem or will it have to be standalone ? My hunch is that all of this probably isn't worth it unless it integrates well with Waveforms and even then I'm not sure. Any insights or related projects appreciated.
