Matlab and 1608G - digital I/O

tomatcbl

Question

I am trying to use an MCC USB 1608G for an experiment on climate change where we are controlling O2 levels in the water.  Using a Matlab script I can communicate with the 1608G and log 02 levels using a sensor.  So far so good.

Now  I want to control the 02 levels so that they cycle over 24 hours by switching a relay that would start the flow of nitrogen to the water that would lower the O2 concentration.    Can I can control the digital I/O on the 1608G from Matlab to provide a 5V signal to a relay?

Hello @tomatcbl.

The Data Acquisition Toolbox™ Support Package for Measurement Computing™ Hardware does not support counter/timer subsystems, digital I/O subsystems, triggered acquisition, specialized voltage measurements (thermocouple, etc.), or the use of Simulink data acquisition blocks for Measurement Computing DAQ hardware.

Many thanks Fausto - I was hoping there was some kind of work around
