Can i use USB-202 for pulse output?

shulton

Question

USB-202 has an AICKO pin. Can i use this pin for pulse output, send a specified number and frequency of pulses to control an external device (such as a stepmotor)?

I see a “pulseoutstart01” demo in in the document(VB6 environment). Is it suitable for USB-202?

The output signal from the AICKO pin is not software configurable and not suitable for your application.  According to the user's guide,

- When using an external clock, AICKO outputs the pulse generated from AICKI.
- When using the internal clock, AICKO outputs the ADC scan clock.

You could attempt to create a custom application to use an output buffer with the signal data, but note that the analog output throughput's rate is low at 250 Samples per second and system dependent.

Consider the USB-1808 Series which supports a PWM timer output.
