ports open or closed on E-1608 board



We are trying to access a 1608 ethernet board on a device.  It was tested at the instrument OEM and here before it shipped without any problem.

Our client is using his own laptop and the InstaCal will not detect the device.  We’ve looked through and it looks like a possible problem with a port?  What ports are required to be open/closed for a 1608 board?

Hello @motordoc.

Was the module configured for a static IP before it was shipped?

Currently, is the module hardwired to your LAN, while your laptop is connected via WiFi?

If that is the case, then connect a network cable between your laptop and the LAN instead.

The instructions for restoring the factory default network setting on the E-1608 and the ports are mentioned on page 10 of the user's guide.

Please follow the connection and configuration instructions in chapter 2 of the E-1608 User's Guide.
