WebDAQ example to read data

Milo Kim

Question

Dear All, We OMEGA sales OM-WEB-TEMP and I think it's origin is you Digilent company ; https://www.omega.com/en-us/data-acquisition/data-acquisition-modules/om-web-temp-series/p/OM-WEB-TEMP

My resale product manager suggest me to contact you via this page if i have trouble running OM-WEB-TEMP.

One of my customers sent a photo today.

Even though he did enter correct 6 digit S/N, there is a error message ;  'Connecting to device,,,,not able to check local name'

I already confirmed that the serial number of his unit is 71C27F07

1. Could you please let me know what he has to check?

2. Would it be possible for you to join conference call meeting to teach my customer?

3. Can I ask your email address to contact you directly to get help promptly?

Regards,

Milo

Hello @Milo Kim.

You are confusing two different MCC devices.  The OM-WEB-TEMP is the MCC WEB-TEMP.  The serial number 71C27F07 is associated with an OM-WEB-TEMP device.  This product was discontinued.  Please refer to the MCC User's Guide for instructions to use with InstaCal and the device's built-in web server.

https://www.mccdaq.com/pdfs/manuals/WEB-TEMP.pdf

https://assets.omega.com/spec/OM-WEB-TEMP.pdf

The WebDAQ example screen capture is for a different product line, i.e. WebDAQ 316, and is not compatible with the OM-WEB-TEMP.

Fausto

Hello @Milo Kim.

Download and install the MCC DAQ software.

https://www.mccdaq.com/Software-Downloads

Once installed, the Universal Library examples are located in the 'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Measurement Computing\DAQ' folder.  Be sure to run InstaCal after connecting your OM-WEB-TEMP.  Follow the instructions in the user's guide, https://www.mccdaq.com/pdfs/manuals/WEB-TEMP.pdf, beginning in chapter 2.

Regards,

Fausto

Hello Fausto

I am sorry but there is a last request

Even though the customer installed what you suggest, he cannot find out the Library via 'C:\Users\Public\Documents\Measurement Computing\DAQ' folder.

Could you please send the Library via email  ;   lakers81@naver.com   and mkim@omega.com?

I apologize you

Regards,

Milo
