Joe Nolan
Is it possible to use the individual pins of a PMOD port as I/O pins? I just bought a chipKit Pro Mx7 but there aren't any I/Opins, just PMOD ports. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
D@n
Yes, it is possible to use the individual pins of a PMOD port as I/O pins. Reading from the reference manual for the chipKit Pro Mx7, it states at the beginning of section 4, "Any of the pins on the PMod or I2C ports can be individually accessed for digital input or output." If you wish to do this, I think you'll find the rest of section 4 very useful in describing how to do so, and then I think you will find Appendix C invaluable--as it contains the conversion mapping between the pin numbers as the chip sees them and the PMod I/O's as you see them on the board.
