DT9834 Drivers

Exp

Question

Cannot connect to DT9834 device, despite downloading multiple MCC product software.  Also cannot connect to another Data Translation device, so it really does seem to be the drivers.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @Exp.

The DT9834 use the Data Translation software.  Data Translation devices are not supported by MCC software (except for the DT9837 Series).  Use this link and scroll down to the Data Translation Software option.

Click the link at the end of the description.

If you have an issue, then try https://mcc.download.ni.com/#downloads/DTSoftware/Omni-CD/

I will need more details from you.

Which software application are you using?

Which Windows OS are you using?

Open Windows' Control Panel - Programs and Features.  Click on the Publisher heading to sort the column.  What do you have listed for Data Translation?

Connect the USB cable between your Windows system and the DT9834 module.  Connect the supplied power supply to the DT9834 module.  In Windows Control Panel, click on 'Open Layers Control Panel (32-bit)'.  Click the OK button, if you get a message window.  Does the DT9834 appear in the list?

If the DT9834 appears in the list, then close the Data Acquisition Control Panel and open Data Translation's QuickDAQ application.  (Location - C:\Program Files (x86)\Data Translation\QuickDAQ\QuickDAQ.exe)  Select the DT9834 and click the 'Add' button to add the device to the right side.

Once in the QuickDAQ application, click the START or RECORD button to start an acquisition.

Please reply with details and screen captures if you continue to have an issue.
