Not recommended for new applications

Hi, I'm trying to figure out which DAQ to buy and the ones I'm most interested in are the USB-1808, USB-1808X, and USB-1608HS. The USB-1808 and USB-1608HS both say that they are "Not recommended for new applications". Why are these DAQs not recommended? Are they no longer supported or is there something about their specs?

Hello @sam56.

If your intention is only to purchase one device, then choose the best one suitable for your needs.  If you're designing an application to purchase these devices for years to come, then choose the USB-1808X.
