Question

Hi, I have a USB-TC-AI and a USB-2408 that I would like to use mainly for logging temperature, pressure, etc of lab experiments. My requirements are to have a simple visual interface and be able to export data to Excel (or into a text file, then Excel). I know these are possible with DAQami or TracerDAQ (I have limited experience with both), but our license is expired so I am looking for the most cost effective long term solution that fulfills our basic needs. What program is recommended?

Hello @Carly.

The DAQami and TracerDAQ Pro licenses do not expire, so I'm not sure what you mean.

I would suggest using DAQami.  DAQami is free and you can download the current version from the product page.   https://www.mccdaq.com/daq-software/DAQami.aspx

The base version of TracerDAQ is free, but TracerDAQ Pro requires a purchased license.  https://www.mccdaq.com/daq-software/tracerdaq-series.aspx

When I open DAQami, it prompts me to enter a product key, and that data logging and export have been disabled. I attempted to record some data in DAQami, and when I tried to export the data, the "Export" button was grayed out and I could not export anything. I uninstalled it and reinstalled using the link above and the same popup appears, but now showing that there are 30 days remaining before logging and export are no longer available. Is there a product key somewhere that I am missing? Or does DAQami need to be installed every 30 days?
