substitute for OEM version of USB-2523

meb

Question

I need two quad encoder inputs and at least 2khz sampling, and compatibility with Universal Library.

MCCDAQ says USB-2523 not recommended for new applications and recommends USB-2600 series boards.  But neither 2600 series or 1808 series boards have PGA inputs ( ±10 V, ±5 V, ±2 V, ±1 V, ±500 mV, ±200 mV, ±100 mV).

Is there a better USB-2523 replacement option available or in development?  When will USB-2523 no longer be available?

Hello @meb.

The USB-2523 is an active product with no end-of-life date currently set.  MCC does not offer an exact replacement for the USB-2523.  Also, the USB-2600 Series does not support quadrature encoders, so the USB-1808 Series boards would be your other option.

Fausto
