Measurement Computing USB-TC LabVIEW Driver Install

cristianh817

Question

Hi, I am trying to access the downloads section of mccdaq.com (https://www.mccdaq.com/support/swdasylab.aspx?t=https://mcc.download.ni.com/downloads/DASYLab/DASYLab_2022_ENG.zip) and the form seems to be unresponsive on the second page. Does anyone have this issue? If there is a direct download link for the necessary drivers for a USB-TC please let me know, thanks!

Dear @cristianh817.

Whether you are attempting to use the USB-TC with LabVIEW or DASYLab, you must first install InstaCal, which has the device drivers.

Here is the InstaCal link if you have not yet installed it.

https://mcc.download.ni.com/downloads/InstaCal/icalsetup.exe

Here is a link to download the zip file containing the installation for DASYLab 2022.

https://mcc.download.ni.com/downloads/DASYLab/DASYLab_2022_ENG.zip

If that does not resolve your issue, please reply with more details.

Regards,

Fausto

Thank you for the drivers! In InstaCal, I can see that the DAQ is working, but in LabVIEW, the DAQ does not show up. Are there additional files that need to be downloaded for interfacing with LabVIEW? Attached is the screenshot of the DAQ not being read under DAQ assistant --> analog signals--> Thermocouple.

Which version of LabVIEW do you have installed?  At this time, 'ULx for NI LabVIEW' is not supported under LabVIEW 2022; only supported for LabVIEW 2010 to LabVIEW 2021.  Have you installed the current MCC DAQ software v6.73?  If not, here is a link to download and then install the software, which allows a user to select 'ULx for NI LabVIEW' as part of the installation.

https://mcc.download.ni.com/downloads/MCCDaqCD/mccdaq.exe

LabVIEW must reside on the target system before 'ULx for NI LabVIEW' can be installed, but this requirement appears to be satisfied.

Next, before launching LabVIEW, connect your MCC daq device (USB-TC) to the target system and then open MCC's InstaCal utility.  InstaCal's executable file, 'inscal32.exe', is located in the 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Measurement Computing\DAQ' folder.  Your daq device should appear in the list before you can use LabVIEW.  Since your device does appear in the list, then close InstaCal and proceed to LabVIEW.  There are canned examples for 'ULx for NI LabVIEW' in the ULx subfolder for LabVIEW, i.e. 'C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2020\examples\ULx'.

Here's a Knowledgebase link for a .vi example.
