Having trouble getting Vivado to connect to my Basys3

james.long

Question

New to this...just got a Basys3 and installed Vivado 2021.2 in my Windows10 machine.

Have generated a bitstream.
Basys3 is connected to the computer/power via micro-USB.
JP1 is set to JTAG.
Power light is on.

Windows10 device manager recognizes the board in multiple ways:
1. Under Ports > "USB Serial Port (COM4)"
2. Under USB Controllers > "USB Serial Converter A" and "USB Serial Converter B"

BUT now I am in the Hardware manger and it says "unconnected" and next to local host it says (0) and "Connected."

Autoconnect does nothing as far as I can tell...how the heck can I get Vivavo to recognize the board???

Here is a link to the steps I have used when the board is not showing up in my Win10 install.

Use this link and point to the win7 directory.   (https://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Design-and-Debug-Techniques-Blog/Quickly-install-Cable-Drivers-for-Xilinx-Platform-Cable-USB-II/ba-p/1013230)

I hope this helps.
