Genesys 2 Fixing Hole Data

John W

Question

Hi, please can you point me in the direction where I can find mechanical layout data of the two fixing holes at either end of the Samtec connector or are you able to share gerber drill data? I need hole diameter and position relative to the connector PTHs on the Genesys board. I've marked the holes with red arrows on the attached.

Thank you for your help in advance.

The best place to get this information is from the connector vendor. A good place to find part numbers is from an FMC mezzanine card vendor who publishes PCB information and part numbers. Try Xilinx, like the FMC debug card.

Be aware that high speed connectors for HSMC and FMC used for FPGA boards are frequently custom parts.

Digilent boards sporting an FMC connector mechanically fit FMC mezzanine cards, though I;ve seen a few of those without mounting holes. You don't want to think about powering on a carrier and mezzanine card combo without firmly securing the boards together, Finding spacers and 2mm bolts and nuts might be a bigger problem in the USA. These usually, but not always, come with a mezzanine card.
