JTAG-SMT2 programming module

Hello,

We want to buy one JTAG-SMT2 unit to program three different Spartan 6 Xilinx Flash memory with three different configuration files.  Looking at datasheet specifically at 4-Wire Star Topology I am wondering if this is possible with just one JTAG-SMT2?  I am under impression that this is doable.  Or does 4-Wire Star Topology shows programming multiple FPGAs with same configuration file?

Hello,

Added this module to some of my PCB designs to replace the clunky JTAG header. Works great and reliably! I can't seem to exceed 16 devices on the JTAG chain though. Simple fix was to just drop another one on my PCB.

When you said that you can't exceed 16 devices, I am assuming that you were able to configure at least 4?  Did you use "series" connection appoach or "star" aproach when you were configuring your FPGA?  This is what I mean by series vs star?  And one more question, did you use same configuration file for all devices or different configuration files for different FPGA chips?
