JTAG-SMT2 programming module

PeterV

Question

Hello,

We want to buy one JTAG-SMT2 unit to program three different Spartan 6 Xilinx Flash memory with three different configuration files.  Looking at datasheet specifically at 4-Wire Star Topology I am wondering if this is possible with just one JTAG-SMT2?  I am under impression that this is doable.  Or does 4-Wire Star Topology shows programming multiple FPGAs with same configuration file?

Please let me know.

Thanks

PeterV

karanm90,

When you said that you can't exceed 16 devices, I am assuming that you were able to configure at least 4?  Did you use "series" connection appoach or "star" aproach when you were configuring your FPGA?  This is what I mean by series vs star?  And one more question, did you use same configuration file for all devices or different configuration files for different FPGA chips?1721070955_series_starconnectiontoJTAG.thumb.jpg.efd31c01ae972fe57d05d8b214312a0a.jpg
