BASYS (Spartan-3E) versus the BASYS2 (Spartan-3E)

I have several Digilent BASYS boards I would like to use. The only data I find on site if for BASYS2. Can anyone tell me what the main differences between the two versions.

To be honest, I'm not sure what the difference is between the original Basys, https://digilent.com/reference/basys/basys, and the Basys 2, https://digilent.com/reference/programmable-logic/basys-2/start. I've personally never used either of these boards since they were both replaced by the Basys 3, https://digilent.com/reference/programmable-logic/basys-3/start, back in 2014 since Xilinx stopped producing the ISE software that is needed to configure the Spartan 3E chips that are on the older Basys branded boards back in 2013.
