Discovery Pro, Two units simultaneously

Hi to everyone, this is my first time on this forum, and I have several questions.

Assumes Windows 10 OS

Looking at the Discovery Pro Unit.

- Can one use Two units in Sync connected to one Pc for simultaneous data capture?

- Can one use the IO facilities( for simple input output) for switching external devices?

- Can the units parameters be set from Labview (i.e. Data capture rates etc.)

I have an application where I would like to use the Wavegen Arb Generator in one unit to drive a Hydraulic proportional valve, and simultaneously capture ( up to 8) events from external voltage signal sources. At the end of test download the captured data in a form that could be used / analysed by external software.

All communications between PC and Digilent would be galvanically  isolated .

Do you have an interface using the NI DAQ software.

Digital IO likewise.

Yes, you can use two devices in sync. This thread (described for the Analog Discovery 2 but also applicable for the Analog Discovery Pro) describes how to do this: https://forum.digilentinc.com/topic/5128-daisy-chaining-the-ad2/.

Yes, you can use the IO pins for switching external devices (provided you are operating within the acceptable voltage range on both devices).

Yes, you can control the Analog Discovery Pro through LabVIEW. There is a guide on how to do this on it's Resource Center here: https://reference.digilentinc.com/reference/instrumentation/analog-discovery-pro-3x50/start#third_party_software_support.

The Analog Discovery Pro can also be controlled entirely through Digilent's WaveForms software; https://reference.digilentinc.com/reference/software/waveforms/waveforms-3/start. The WaveForms SDK (included in the download for WaveForms) and it's API also allows control of the device through software (such as C and python) and is what LabVIEW uses to communicate with the device. I'm personally not certain how this compares to the NI DAQ software.
