FlyingBlindOnARocketCycle
Driver required that Win10 was not finding on its own. https://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm My Basys 3 com chip is FTDI FT2232HQ. I downloaded and ran the setup executable from the link in the right column in the driver table. Fixed me right up.
D@n
Are you sure? I thought you needed the Vivado drivers? Can you load the device from Vivado as desired? Dan
FlyingBlindOnARocketCycle
Im 100% on this. I have Vivado 2018.2 and 2019.2 running on this machine with no problems. I can connect to other FPGA devices with Vivado but not the Basys 3. That is what led me to look at the device manager and see there is a problem. I installed CDM212228_setup.exe from FTDI and the Basys 3 is connecting now. Windows 10 Device manager is happy and I can push bitstreams to the Basys 3 as well as serial com. I have not gone back to check any other FPGA's yet to see if this has scewed me up for everything else. For now I'm going to remain ignorant and happy as my gear is working.
