juavo
Is it possible to hardware-disable WiFi (using CHIP_EN/R138=0Ω), or does the OpenLogger board use the ATWINC1500 for an ethernet stack when communicating over USB?
JColvin
Hi @juavo, I asked one of the engineers more familiar with the OpenLogger firmware and they think it would be possible to disable the WiFi via that pin/resistor and use the OpenLogger exclusively over USB. I do also want to clarify (much like other hardware) that making direct modifications to the hardware such as changing/removing the resistor will void the warranty for the board. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Thanks, JColvin
