Petalinux kernel panic error




I am having an issue booting linux on the zybo z7-20 board after following ug1144 2017.4 edition to configure sd card ext filesystem boot found on page 47 of the document. It would boot fine before when using INITRAMFS but now that I have switched to an ext4 filesystem for boot I get a kernel panic error. Here is a log from booting the board from the sd card.

Can somebody help me determine what this means and why the board has a kernel panic?
