Nexys Video Serial Comunication (DPTI / DSPI)

I just ordered the Nexys Video and I noticed that it has some faster serial IO in the form of DPTI / DSPI.  I was just wondering how I am supposed to communicate between my card and computer.  Right now I am using UART with GtkTerm on Ubuntu.  I know that digilent has it's Adept API but can I use a generic C api like libftdi for the communication with the card?

I would highly recommend using the adept API as it was built to work for this particular interface. This question has been escalated to someone who can look into other options for you much more accurately than I.

Currently we recommend the use of the Adept DSPI library included with the Adept SDK.

The DPTI functionality has not been added yet to the public Adept SDK release, so it is not currently available. We are doing our best to release it as soon as possible. I will post here to let you know when it is released. Sorry for the inconvenience.
