attila got a reaction from magnitudephase in Any reason to buy the Analog Discovery 3 over the ADP3450?
Hi @magnitudephase
Yes.

attila got a reaction from m72 in Logic Detector as trigger in Scope. Is it possible?
Hi @m72
With "Analog only" the number of samples and rate of digital view gets stuck with the first capture parameters.
I didn't notice this before. It is fixed for next version.
Thank you for the observation.

attila reacted to philipg in Electronics Explorer oscilloscope bandwidth test (measured at ~88 MHz)
Thank you, Attila.
The beta s/w certainly changes the oscilloscope results. The rise time now measures ~21 ns, regardless of the trigger level. Also, and the rise time plot is much more linear. The calculated bandwidth is now ~17 MHz. Note that I'm getting similar bandwidth results when I sweep thru frequencies from 10 MHz and 20 MHz. Bandwidth appears to be somewhere in the teens.
Thanks again for your help with this.

Hi @bruce19
You can use Add Channel/Math/Filter, and/or Time/ Average or Filter channel with newer devices AD3, ADP3X50...

attila got a reaction from Ronan in Compatibility WaveForms SDK and Analog Discovery 3
Hi @lokobob99
99% yes
The device buffers are larger, so it lets you capture and generate longer sequences.
The system monitoring analog-io indexing (temperature, device consumptions...) are different.
See the details in the latest version:

attila reacted to Duh in Repetitive Burst of Clock Pulses in Waveforms Patterns for Digital Discovery
Hi Atilla,
I kept banging away and I think I understand the UI now - it is different than other hardware methods that I am familiar with. I now see how the prefill drop down fills data into the space specified in the previous window. That was not intuitive to me and I didn't see any tutorials that described how they act. Anyway, I'm on the road to being able to use the interface. Thanks for your timely help!

attila reacted to Andrew Zonenberg in ADP3450 Linux mode memory depth
Aha, so the limited depth is because that RAM is used by packet buffer when not running Linux. Makes sense.

attila reacted to MirceaDabacan in Feature request: Adjustable threshold voltage
Hi All, @Doc TB, @leonvs
For the 24 input only pins of the Digital Discovery, Digilent offers the High Speed Adapter and Logic Probes. This is a small PCB adapter which extends the number of GND pins to 24, one for each DIN. Each Logic probe is a set of twisted wires, (black for GND, red for DIN), with a 100ohm series resistor on the top of the red wire (for reducing reflections). This solution reduces crosstalk and enables high frequency signal acquisition.

attila got a reaction from m72 in Logic Detector as trigger in Scope. Is it possible?
Hi @m72
Yes, the oscilloscope offset shifts the signal so the filter input is also shifted, like -1V input offset makes +1V to be 0 input for the filter.

attila got a reaction from m72 in Logic Detector as trigger in Scope. Is it possible?
Hi @m72
Thank you for the observation. It will be fixed in the next version 3.21.18
I recommend using the individual calibrations which you need to perform.
To overcome this wizard bug, before the wizard press Reset/ Reset to zero.

Hi @attila,
Didn't notice that setting. Perhaps it should default to Rising?
(Great app, by the way!)

attila reacted to m72 in Logic Detector as trigger in Scope. Is it possible?
Hello!
WaveForms 3.21.17, AD3
When I tried to calibrate the AD3, the power supplies behaved strangely.
After calibration using the Wizard, the specified and measured voltages differed by 0.1 volt. The quality indicator switched between red and green.
Then I calibrated the power supplies individually and everything returned to normal.
With best regards, Mikhail.

attila got a reaction from Anthocyanina in waveform generator and impedance analyzer suggestions
Hi @Anthocyanina
The properties can be coupled with a Script like this.
If a disconnected is not called an application restart is required to get rid of the connection.
function doFreq(){Wavegen.Channel2.Simple.Frequency.value = Wavegen.Channel1.Simple.Frequency.value;} function doAmp(){Wavegen.Channel2.Simple.Amplitude.value = Wavegen.Channel1.Simple.Amplitude.value;} Wavegen.Channel1.Simple.Frequency.Sig.connect(doFreq) Wavegen.Channel1.Simple.Amplitude.Sig.connect(doAmp) while(wait()); Wavegen.Channel1.Simple.Frequency.Sig.disconnect(doFreq) Wavegen.Channel1.Simple.Amplitude.Sig.disconnect(doAmp)

attila got a reaction from Abhijan in Pass Oscilloscope Value to Waveform Generator
Hi @Abhijan
In-device Oscilloscope input to AWG output routing (+amplification, filtering) is only supported by newer devices AD3, ADP3X50...
With AD3 this adds a delay of about 20 cycles (200ns at 100MHz) or more with filtering.

attila reacted to ysrevol in How can I implement precise digital pulses width +/-0.1ms or less in LabView using Analog discovery 2?
I found a good site that generates PWM waveforms.
https://www.instructables.com/Analog-Discovery-PWM-and-Digital-IO-Control-though/
Considering my level, I need a simple "getting start", but ^^ I think this site will help a lot.
