  1. Hello. I'm not an experienced person in electronics. I simply enjoy messing with electronics as a hobby. So anyway, I currently have an S8050 NPN transistor loaded in the Transistor Tester with my Analog Discovery 3. My confusion is why is the default measurement show Vrb Volts at the end of each curve trace instead of Ib (base current) in mA like the spec sheets do. The Measurement is set Ic/Vce(Ib) which should seem to at least show milliamps of current in parentheses. I have screenshots below, one shows the spec sheet and the other is a screen cap of my (likely fake?) S8050 transistor. 1) I know it's certainly my ignorance on display here and there is a reason: But at this moment in my learning process, I'm in a total quandary as to why the resulting unit of the base current shows up as voltage when it seems all the spec sheets show milliamps. I know the formula to convert volts to mA but how can I make that happen in Waveforms? 1a) Furthermore, I've also tried this with NPN and PNP and I've yet to figure how to find Idss or Vp (pinch), or anything based off the results in Waveforms. (yes I've looked over the documentation but I guess I'm just thick) 2) It seems my curves don't always come even CLOSE to matching the spec examples either. is this something I have set or wired incorrectly? Am I not sending some of these enough voltage?
