Analog Discovery 3 Pattern Generator in Matlab

Dear All, I am about to buy Analog Discovery 3, but I need to know if pattern generator works with Matlab. Matlab needs to access digital I/O for pattern generation. The following link says that Matlab can not access to digital I/O of the digilent products. Is there any update about this issue ?
