In waveforms, the wavegen module is able to produce a waveform that is triggered by changing from no synchronization to independent or synchronized. You can then adjust the source of the trigger and other conditions regarding it. This can also be done via the software. You can then change the type of signal output by the wavegen to produce a custom waveform where you will be able to manually control the samples.

Hi, I am trying to program the SPI protocol on some of the DIO lines of my digital discovery while setting the other dio lines to certain values as needed. I had read some previous posts that mentioned being able to use static io at the same time but can't seem to find information regarding setting the lines using the sdk. Does the SPI protocol use the same digital out configure as presented in the sdk? Is there a way to set values on the dio lines not being used by the protocol such that they are held and changed in between sending data over the SPI protocol?
