Who ever faces same issue as below please read it might save you time and fraustration. Issue: Digilent Cmod-A7 board won't be detected by Vivado software (nor by Windows itself in Device Manager). Solution: Buy a new micro-USB cable and try again, while the board is not connected to any exteran devices. Possible root cause: When loading the board power supply too much using USB source, it seems to damage the cable (is there a chip/componenet inside the cable?) in such a way the cable is able to deliver the 5V power supply but wont be able to communicate with any device connected to it (Do provide power but no data transfer).
