  1. Dear @JColvin and @attila, thank you very much for your support and feedback. I have installed the newer version of Adept and Waveforms on the BBB, and I can confirm this is working just fine. Since I still have a swap file, I cannot check whether this is still required or not to use the Digital Discovery. I also take benefit of this message to thank you for the Digital Discovery: it is a great tool, we are using it mainly as a digital pattern generator. It is stable, simple, efficient and does the job quite well. At some point, a sampling rate higher than 100MSa/s to have a resolution lower than 10ns would be appreciated for pattern generation, but I understand the performance/cost tradeoff. Best regards,
  2. Hi, I have been struggling on the Beaglebone Black to install the Waveforms application, especially for the Digital Discovery. I am not sure whether this is well documented or not, although other users previously reported issues with the recent Waveforms versions on BBB. I'd like to report the issue and what I did to fix it: BBB with debian 10 (buster) and LXQT, kernel 4.19.94-ti-t73. Installed on a 16Gb SD card. Initially, Waveforms crashed whenever launched due to an issue with DSIOM32 (or something alike - sorry did not save the exact error message then). Version adept.runtime_2.26.1-armhf.deb and previous version of waveforms_3.17.1_armhf.deb fixed the issue, as mentionned somewhere else in this forum. However, both the DDemo or the actual Digital Discovery connected through USB made the application crash with LLVM ERROR: out of memory - Aborted. Although other Demo devices worked quite well in Waveforms, the Digital Discovery would not (instant crash). I suspected that the lack of free memory and already quite busy BBB with X-server might be an issue. Initial BBB images do not create a swap. I therefore created a swap memory of 512Mb (following this for example: https://paulbupejr.com/adding-swap-memory-to-the-beaglebone-black/), hoping that would free some available memory on the bbb and voila! I am now able to get both a working Digital Discovery in DEMO or USB connected. I haven't tried yet to push the DD device to the limit with the BBB. If anyone has any other suggestion or confirmation, feel free to comment. If not, I hope that this could help some other users trying to set up the DD with BBB. Best regards,
