The signals for the CAN analyzer in Waveforms for the digital discovery are labeled TX and RX, as seen in the screenshot below (TX to DIO 24 and RX to DIO 25):
However, the CAN bus doesn't use a TX and RX line. Instead, it uses open drain differential lines, CANH and CANL (or other names such as CAN+ and CAN-) (see https://www.ti.com/lit/an/sloa101b/sloa101b.pdf for example). If I use the CAN analyzer in waveforms, will the ports be properly configured as open drain according to the CAN specification (ie is this just a labeling problem)? I'm wary of connecting signals to hardware if they aren't configured properly.
