  1. JColvin and Attila, Thanks for the responses. I am indeed running 3.16.3 on windows 10 64-bit. However, since my last post, other apps started slowing down significantly and I noticed that my laptop was severely overheating, even though the fans are working. It also seemed the machine was running things at night when it was supposed to be switched off. So 2 days ago I used Task Manager to identify two programs that were hogging lots of processor time, even with nothing else running. I ended up removing McAffee which came bundled with the laptop 3 years ago and which I have never used intentionally. I also removed Dell Support Assist which I had installed a few weeks ago (about when the Waveforms lockups began). Two days in, with fairly heavy use, no more overheating and Waveforms and the other slow apps are working fine. I think that solved the problem and you might put it on your list of things to consider if others have the same issue. Thanks again for responding. I've been using Waveforms for digital pattern generation for about 6 months now and am quite impressed by it. -- Mike P.S. McAffee and Dell are definitely NOT getting a Christmas card from me this year!
  2. Have been using Waveforms with Digilent Digital Discovery for a few months now and worked fine. Suddenly today Waveforms will not open in Windows 64. It was working fine 2 days ago. I get the windows spinner and 'Waveforms not responding'. Rebooting laptop, uninstalling and reinstalling waveforms, and installing previous waveforms versions do not work. I installed waveforms on another laptop and it works. I really need it to work on the original laptop.
