Map_ Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Hi, I accidentally touched the ground pin to the Vcc pin of the Nexys Video FPGA, and then it was not powered up. Could anyone are there any protection diodes or something there to replace?
0 robfinch Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Do you know if the power supply still works? Was the short directly on the FPGA or just somewhere on the board?

0 JColvin Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 Hi @Likitha, To help figure out which rail is not being powered up, could you let me know the following voltages across these capacitors? either C329, C330, C331 or C332 ( should be 12.0 V) either C336, C337 or C338 (should be 3.3 V) either C344 or C340 (should be 1.0 V) either C348 or C349 (should be 1.8 V) either C354 or C355 (should be 1.5 V) Though realistically, it will be unlikely that a random capacitor failed for an easy passive component replacement. Let me know what you learn and if it seems likely that some IC has failed, and presuming you purchased the board from Digilent, please send me a private message with the following information: - Order Number - Purchase Date - Serial number of the board (located on the barcode on the <TOP/UNDER>side of the device starting with the character 'D') --> Only include this line if the product has a serial number - preferred email address If you instead purchased the board from a distributor (Mouser, Farnell, Amazon, etc.) you will need to contact them to determine their own RMA process. They will work with Digilent separately as needed, but feel free to use this thread as evidence as having worked with a Digilent engineer. Thanks, JColvin

I have checked the voltage across these capacitors and noticed that 12.0V and 1.0V are showing correctly, and others are not showing the correct voltage.
