IanS Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 I just received a USB-1608G DAQ and Windows is not recognizing it. It is showing up in Device Manager with a ! on the icon. I have installed DAQami 4.2.1f0, and the About DAQami dialog box shows that the Drivers: Universal Library Version 6.74 are installed. I am running Windows 11 Pro on a 64-bit ARM based processor. Where can I find the correct driver to get this running? Thanks
0 artvvb Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 Hey @IanS Welcome to the forum. I believe you also need to install Instacal: https://digilent.com/reference/software/instacal/start. Apologies for the confusion, and I'll see what we can do to make things clearer on the site. Thanks, Arthur
0 IanS Posted October 18, 2024 Author Posted October 18, 2024 Arthur, I already had Instacal 6.74 installed, and my system still does not recognize the driver for the USB-1608G. I pointed Device Manager>USB-1608G>Update Driver to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Measurement Computing\DAQ" and the "C:\Program Files\Measurement Computing\DAQami" folders and it was unable to locate a suitable driver for this module.
0 artvvb Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 Understood. I've reached out internally to find someone who might be able to help troubleshoot this further.
0 Fausto Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Hello @IanS. The MCC device drivers are installed with InstaCal. Are you using Windows on a standard PC, running Windows on a MAC using Parallels Desktop or running Windows on a Virtual Machine? MCC drivers are only available for 32 and 64-bit (Intel) Windows. There is no driver support for the ARM version of Windows. Please test the USB-1608G with a standard Windows PC. Launch InstaCal to detect the device. If detected by InstaCal, then close InstaCal and launch DAQami. If however, the device is undetected by InstaCal with a different system, then the issue may be with the device itself. Regards, Fausto
0 IanS Posted October 21, 2024 Author Posted October 21, 2024 Thank you for the reply. Yes, I am attempting to run this on an ARM based processor. The Intel processor requirement was not self evident on the product page. I will contact your customer service team and start the return process.
0 Fausto Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 If using Linux with an ARM based processor, then you could use UL for Linux with the USB-1608G.
