Where can I find a 3d cad file for the MCC USB-202

Zamfir

Question

HI,

I work for Advanced Energy and we are using the MCC USB-202 in the project I am working on.  I need a 3d drawing of this so I can place it in our library and then add it to my SolidWorks model of the product we are designing.  The SolidWorks model will be used for creating build instructions and wire harness creation.  I do not need internal details.  Just the outside enclosure and connectors.  This model will also be used for marketing material.  It would be nice to have your branding and labeling on the model if available.

Where can I find a 3d model of this DAC?  Anything that will work with SolidWorks is good.  .step etc...

Thanks,

Eric.

Thanks Fausto,

Where is this product in its lifecycle?  I need to make sure the EE on this design is not selecting products that are going obsolete.  I noticed the data sheet for this resides in your Legacy product area.  Is there a newer version of this we should be using?  And does that have a 3d model?

Thank you for your time,

Eric.

I need to design the mount for the USB-200 series if it is an active part that will be around for a while.  I the 2d drawing it does not say anything about threads.  It just shows the locations of some round features.  I do not know if they are just holes or threaded inserts.  If they are threaded inserts, I need to know how deep a fastener can go into the insert before bottoming out.

Thanks

Eric

Hello @Zamfir.

The USB-202 is an active product.  I am not aware of it being discontinued at this time.

The four center holes on the backside are approximately 0.25" in depth, not through holes, and have no threads.

The four outer holes have screws and are used to attach the top and back sections of the enclosure.

Regards,

Fausto
