Discovery 3 live data processing with python

Dear Forum, 

I would like to use python to perform live analysis on a single channel output of the discovery 3, but am not familiar with using an sdk, could I get some help starting the setup of how to do this? I am quite new to this topic so any help is greatly appreciated.

I like to follow on this post as well. I am currently collecting using Data Logger for 20s with the interval of 50ms after which I am exporting it into a csv file but my project entails me to collect data and perform python script analysis in real time. I am also new and currently lost with such a complicated system.

Apologies for the delay. A couple of resources that might be helpful:

• Getting Started with WaveForms SDK - Digilent Reference
• The installed "AnalogIn_Record.py" example (in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Digilent\WaveFormsSDK\samples\py" on WIndows) will be the best source for finding which functions to use for continuous recording.
• This blog post and the example code it links to might also be interesting, as some analysis is performed on data captured via WaveForms SDK, within a jupyter notebooks setup (even if it's using the triggered acquisition functions instead of continuous recording): Rapid Prototyping of a Pulse Height Detector System – Digilent Blog.
