I need to list all connected ULx devices and retrieve their types. As far as I can tell, the only way to do it is to create a task for DevN and check if generates an error - see the attached screenshot. In addition to guessing their Dev numbers, I have to know in advance or guess what resources my devices have (in this example, AuxPort0).
For comparison, when using NI-DAQmx, I can retrieve all connected devices and read their types without knowing anything about them in advance.
Am I missing the way in which this can be done in ULx or is it a limitation of ULx?
