SpencerStorey
Hello I have the Analog Discovery 2 and the BNC board. I have two analog signals going into the channels there. What is the best way to get this analog signal to a python script I have that processes it. Thank you.
0 attila
Hi @SpencerStorey You can use File/Export, the View/Logging or Script tool to automate things, process or export and call external app, or use the SDK.
0 SpencerStorey
So @attila When i use the logger and export it only exports 8192 samples, I need atleast 80000 if it is 40000 per second. And with the SDK i am using the analogin_spectrum example, and it contains too many dimensions. I just need the analog voltage for both channels in an array or csv or something. Thank you. 0 attila
Hi @SpencerStorey The newer software version adds hardware timer option for Logger, allowing higher capture rate to be used. You can also use Mode:Record in the Scope interface, where you can also trigger the capture, perform data processing... or the 'Rec. to File' option. For custom application example see the AnalogIn_Record.py and similar examples or the dwfcmd command line application, which is also found in the WK SDK folder.
