Connecting MCC DAQ to Recompiled LabView Executable

Hello Digilent Forum!

I am working through seeing if we can integrate MCC DAQ's (associated with Digilent in some way, any background on that would be appreciated) and am having trouble connecting this to a pre-exported LabView executable. I am using an MCC USB-234 DAQ.

The main issue appears to be downloading the drivers for LabView compatibility. The computer this executable is on does not have a copy of LabView installed (because this software was programmed and distributed by a third party), nor does it have internet (another troubling issue). I was wondering if anyone was having the same issue, and if there is a method to work around this?

Which version of Windows OS is running on the target system?

How much do you know about the history of your executable?

Which versions of LabVIEW and InstaCal were used to create the executable?

Download and install the current version of InstaCal v6.73 onto the target system.  https://mcc.download.ni.com/#downloads/InstaCal/

Close the LabVIEW executable and connect the USB-234 to the system.  Launch InstaCal.  Does the USB-234 show up in the board list?  If it does not, then it may be a hardware issue.  

If the USB-234 is detected by InstaCal, then close InstaCal and retest your LabVIEW executable.  If the LabVIEW executable continues to not detect the USB-234 module, then you may need to recompile the VI with current versions of InstaCal, ULx for NI LabVIEW, and LabVIEW.   Reference the following MCC knowledgebase article and the 'ULx for NI LabVIEW Help' for 'Distributing a ULx for NI LabVIEW application'.

History of Executable -> https://www.nature.com/articles/s41596-019-0255-2 Provided in the SI of a publication. In terms of which version of LabView was used for compiling, I have no idea. The original authors are no longer associated with the University, so getting an un-compiled .vi file is unlikely.

When connecting this DAQ card to InstaCal (version 6.73), it is recognized and displayed in the program. The LabView executable does not recognize the DAQ. In the settings for the executable there is a button for using MCC-DAQ cards vs NI. Maybe I could install an older version of the MCC software? It could have been compiled before (in ~2019) with with an older version of InstaCal. What are your thoughts on this?
