Hello @OlgaS.

You may have a corrupt QuickDAQ configuration file, 'QuickDAQConfiguration.xml'.  Close QuickDAQ and then browse to the 'C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Data Translation\QuickDAQ\Config' directory on your system.  Delete the 'QuickDAQConfiguration.xml' file and then restart QuickDAQ.

Fausto

Hello Fausto,

Thank you for your suggestion. I deleted QuickDAQConfiguration.xml file and restarted QuickDAQ. Unfortunately it didn't work, I got the same idle DT9804 board. Can you suggest any other steps to bring it back to work?

Thank you, Olga

Hello @OlgaS

Your screen capture shows QuickDAQ 2013, which is an unsupported (legacy) version.  Please test the DT9804 on a Windows 10 or 11 system with the current Data Translation OMNI software installed, which contains the current version of QuickDAQ.  Here is the download directory for the installation .zip file and installation instructions.

Hello Fausto,

We did test DT9804 on Windows 10 with DT Open Layers (OEM) v. 7.8.9 software without any success. Computer recognizes the DT9804 board, but gives no signal at all. I should mention, that we have DT9834 board that we tested in the same settings as DT9804, and works fine every time on all computers. Are we running out of options at this point?

The question now - is DT9804 repairable? And is it worth to repair it?

Thank you, Olga

Hello @OlgaS.

That model # is no longer manufactured, so it cannot be repaired.  The serial number dates back to 2016, so it is out of warranty.

One last test to try.  Browse to the 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Data Translation\Win32' folder on the host system with the connected DT9804.  Launch the (legacy) QuickDataAcq.exe example.  From the top menu, select Acquisition and then click on Scope.  The analog input channel defaults to channel 0.  Connect a +/- 10VDC signal to channel 0 and then start the acquisition.  Do you see the expected signal on the screen?  If not, then there is nothing else we can do for this module.

Regards,

Fausto
