Booting Zybo-10 or Zybo-20 boards

RobertTrout

Question

Looking at the board layout on the web, i was unable to locate a flash-ROM.

How can this 'standalone' board be booted with some kind of non-volatile storage ?

I need a board with a Zynq CPU, USB, and reasonable amount of external (DDR) memory with a wide
access path; preferably standalone with Linux. Is there another solution other than the Zybo-20 ?

Hi @RobertTrout

The Zybo Z7 has a flash part that can be programmed with a boot image. Check out the configuration section of the reference manual and the guide for booting baremetal projects from SD cards or flash:

Thanks,

Arthur
