Silent install WaveForms

Olivier Gombert

Question

Hi everyone,

when I perform a silent install on a windows-10-x64(20H2) "digilent.waveforms_v3.18.1_64bit /S /AllUsers", I have a "Security windows" asking me to install or not the driver (name : Digilent | Editor : National Instruments Corp ) or (name : National Instruments | Editor : National Instruments Corp ).

I've tried without success to install the driver first : rundll32.exe setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 dadp5drv.inf

How to perform a complete silent installation ?

Thanks for your help,

Olivier

Hi @Olivier Gombert

1. Launch the installer from admin command prompt otherwise the installer will ask for admin rights.
2. To overcome the driver installation ("Windows Security/device software") confirmation, add the certificate to the system before launching the installer with the following command:
CertUtil -addstore TrustedPublisher nic.cer
This nic.cer is the exported certificate from the certmr.msc
