ADP3450 and Impedance Analyser Board from Analog Discovery 2

WojtekO

Question

Hi,
I just bought ADP3450 (so far had Analog Discovery 2). I assumed that the Pro version will have all parameters better but seems that Impedance Analyser need additional resistors and complicated circuit - unlike in Analog Discovery 2 where with additional board DUT can by simple connected to dedicated connector.

I think that this additional board - adapter - can by used with ADP3450 if in Waveforms You will add "Adapter" option:

and adapter board will be connected to oscilloscope inputs together with generator output and DIO Outputs which will control relays.
Please make this possible in software - I will take care of the hardware:)

Hi @WojtekO

It will be in the next version.
The AD IA Adapter could be hooked to ADP3X50 using the DIOs (4-7, 12-15), 2 Scope, 1 Wavegen channel and 5V from the USB connectors at the back.

To fine tune the setup use a pF capacitor, Ref 1M and adjust the Options/ ProbeCap to have a flat response.

It will be more convenient to make a PCB with a 3.3V to 5V converter. The board would have a rigid connection of BNC and IO connectors. The output from the board would be the same connector as in the Analog Discovery 2. If anyone is interested, please let me know, I will order more pieces :).
