I am trying to attach the ADP3450 in linux or ethernet linux mode with one of the four USB ports, to a serial port Pmod USBUART and a Pmod GPS device. I connected the Pmod USBUART and a Pmod GPS device to a laptop running windows 10 and some GPS programs available online, and it worked very well. I ran a virtual machine with Ubuntu 18.04 and loaded gpsd to access the same USB GPS device from linux, after some effort. The ADP3450 seems to have some different functionality for USB devices so I am having some trouble connecting the USB GPS device to the loaded version of gpsd on the linux image. Is there a special protocol for connecting serial UART USB devices on the ADP3450 linux mode?
