  1. Thank you for the replies to both Attila and Fausto. That's helpful! Best Fernando
  2. Hi all, I would like to know whether there examples or tutorials to control analog discovery and other peripherals through Labview? Thank you. Fdo
  3. Hi @ Attila, Thank you. So, the audio output is a voltage amplifier? Would it amplify the current too? or only the voltage?
  4. Hi @ Attila, Does 33R PTC mean 33 Ohms Positive Temperature Coefficient?
  5. Hi team, In the impedance measurement setup, I wonder whether the Scope 1 and Scope 2 negative terminals should be grounded ? Thank you. ,
  6. Hi Attila, Thank you for the Answer. I can see can set the WaveGen Amplification to 0.01 to 100. Is this the voltage amplification? or both current and voltage? What does 33R PTC mean? Thanks
  7. Hi, I got this amplifier circuit from the project "Building a DIY Speaker". what would be the gain of this amplifier? Can that be used as a Voltage and Current amplifiers or just one? I am looking for an current amplifier to amplifier 10mA to about 200mA? Can anyone recommend a circuit?
  8. Hi, May I know what is the maximum output current and voltage of the Audio output of the Analog Discovery? And maximum Output power? If I set the WaveGen to 3V output, what would be the out of the Audio output? Thank you.
  9. Thank you very much for the answer and screen shots!
  10. Is the RMS value calculation available? If I zoom it, and position the cursers, still it would not perform the average or the RMS value?
  11. Thank you Attila! Could you please send me an example to use the Script tool? Thank you. Best Regards
  12. Hi Fausto, Thank you for the reply. I have the Analog Discovery (Black colour) one. The first of Analog Discovery models. MAX 6675 uses SPI communication. The pins are; GND = Connect to system ground. This ground needs to be in common with the MCU. VCC = Connect to 3.0 – 5.5V. Typically connected to MCU operating power. SCK = Serial Clock Input. Connect to any digital pin on MCU. CS = Chip Select. Connect to any digital pin on MCU. SO = Serial Data Output. Connect to any digital pin on MCU. I can do this with a MCU. But interested to use the Analog Discovery as the MCU. Needs to create an instance (object) of MAX6675 to read the temperature values. As such we don't need ADC to temperature conversion metric. Appreciate any input on this. Thank you. Best Wishes. Fernando
  13. Hi all, I would like to know whether MAX6675 K-type Thermocouple Temperature Sensor can be directly connected to the Analog discovery? Has anyone tried it? Link: https://www.auscomtech.com.au/product/max6675-k-type-thermocouple-temperature-sensor-0-600-degrees-module-arduino/ Thank you. Best Wishes Fernando
  14. Hi all, I obtained the attached waveform. I wish to calculate the average value between the vertical and horizontal cursers. I appreciate if anyone could let me know whether there is an built in function in the "waveform" software to do this, and if so please direct me to the right menu. Thank you. Best Regards Fernando
  15. Thank you Attila. I went to a local Electronic components store in Melbourne. In the catalogue they say the transformer is 1KOhms :8 Ohms. I went to the store and measured the resistance with a multimeter and it was about 376 Ohms: 4Ohms. Anyway i will buy one of those tomorrow and connect it to the Analog discovery and let you now. By the way, what is the output impedance of the Audio output at the audio jack? Thanks
  16. Hi Attila, Thank you for the feedback and that's very useful information. I was worried driving a component direct from AWG, if it exceeds the maximum current that can deliver from the AWG (microcontroller). That is why I thought 1k Ohms side of the transformer would not take much current. On the other hand if I limit the current to 1-2 mA and with 4V output power delivered to the transformer primary would be about 8mW. Perhaps just enough to light a LED. Use of the Audio output to drive the transformer is a good idea and that didn't come to my mind. Is the output impedance of the Audio is 8 Ohms? If so I can drive the 8 Ohms side of the transformer and can get a about 11 times the input voltage since Zp/Zs = sqrt(Np/Ns) Does the maximum current that scope can handle is +/- 25V (single side) and +/- 50V peak to peak? Is it safe to drive an NPN transistor directly from AWG (with 2-3 Volts) and then drive the transformer? or Is it safe to drive an NPN transistor directly from AWG and use the NPN transistor as a level shifter to drive the IRF520 MOSFET to drive the transformer? Thanks Best
  17. Hi all, I just want to demonstrate the step-up transformer principle/action. I wonder whether I can drive a small audio/speaker transformer (with Input/output impedance 1k Ohms: 8 Ohms) using Analogue discovery waveform generator with 1-5V? If possible then, if I connect similar transformer as setup-down to the output side of the setup-up transformer with a series resistor. A schematic about the setup is attached. Appreciate any input or suggestion ? Best
  18. Hi, I am Harendra Fernando (one can use Julian if it is easier) from Australia. I am a new member just started using this forum, in fact yesterday.
