  1. Great news. I had no idea how that function worked. Found your other post here: and now have a better idea of how the device functions.
  2. Can't reproduce the bug? That sounds like a challenge :-) I spent a little bit more time poking at it. It looks like it only occurs when you have two or fewer channels. You can see the attached video how the problem goes away when I switch it to three channels. I also tried lowering my ethernet connection speed to 100 Mb per second full duplex, that did not impact the behavior at all. One thing I've noticed between USB versus ethernet mode is that USB provides more status updates. For instance when recording it provides prefill percentage in USB, but ethernet the pre-fill is not reported. Don't know if that's expected behavior or not.
  3. Hmm. Found another firmware update (now on h340) but that didn't help. Ethernet (even with USB connected) still doesn't cache and forward correctly. On USB the % sample/prefill works correctly. On ethernet it never shows up and just says "Recording", and the returns an empty screen when done.
  4. @attila thanks for the tip about the firmware! Looks like I was not being prompted to update the firmware since I had an ethernet only connection. I switched to USB only and I got the prompt in the device manager. Working great now. Edit: Actually, still doesn't work correctly over ethernet though USB is working fine. I rolled back to 3.17.1 to see if it was a beta issue or not. I have the ethernet pretty locked down (no internet access, just access to my pc and that's it). Let me see if changing that helps.
  5. Hi Folks, I have an ADP3450 connected via a dedicated ethernet port on my computer. When I run the speed test it reports: To Device: 0.142ms 57.59MiBps From Device: 0.1414ms 71.105MiBps 4 MiB I'm having a problem with the Scope in record mode. I'm running at 1MHz sample rate and any attempt to capture >1M samples fails by losing all the scope samples and reporting "Samples were lost. reduce sampling rate". This is Beta 3.17.21. I'm on Win 11 on decent machine (i5-12600K). That big spike at the end is surprising (and exceeds the speed test numbers). I've attached the network utilization profile. --chris ofile for the dedicated ethernet port. It looks off to me.
  6. Hopefully not too hard for someone else to repro. This is on a ADP3450, Win 11, Beta 3.17.20. I did not try an regress on earlier versions. Workspace and GIF attached. 1) Open my workspace 2) Record in Scope (required, will not crash if you just open the workspace and do step 3) 3) Change Math:Filter to a non-enabled channel (enabled channels work fine) 4) Product quits automatically and you lose your workspace changes. crash-changing-filter-source.dwf3work
  7. @attila That's a great improvement. I really like the addition of "gray" for a background setting. A few things I noticed (and questions). 1) In Settings:Dark mode I'm finding the Scope trace colors too dim. Red, Yellow, and Blue have a default value (from HSV) of 208. I find somewhere around 220-225 more pleasing. On second thought the longer I use Waveforms in this mode, maybe the current colors are fine. 2) The Scope: Spectogram and Persistence when switched to color: Gray drops the color a lot. Peak red goes from 256,0,0 to 128,0,0. I think the color scale for "Dark" is fine for the Gray mode too, just dimming the text labels would be great. 3) Is there a way for me to save my own default workspace? The default them for Spectrogram and Persistence when Settings Dialog: Style:"Gray"/Digital:Gray/Analog:Gray is still the Black scheme. I'd like to change that default but it doesn't seem sticky on my system. I went through all the tools and this is quite a nice change. Thank you! --chris
  8. I hear your pain. I dabble in audio stuff which is why I'm aware of those solutions, but I don't own any :-). As you saw, the audio precision in particular is super expensive. Even used ones hold their value really well. It wasn't clear from your original post what your budget was. I also had no idea the audio precision was $7000. Ouch. If you've never seen the Audio Science Review forum, there are number of people there whom assemble test rigs with much more affordable price points for doing these sorts of stuff. That's where I learned about the Quant asylum. Good luck in finding the best trade-off with budget and capability.
  9. That's fantastic news! Thanks for the quick response, I look forward to beta testing the new color scheme.
  10. Hi folks, I suffer from migraines, and when they are bad, I struggle with light sensitivity. This means I like to avoid user interfaces that have full brightness (or darkness) colors as it tends to cause too much contrast and can be painful for me to look at. I was thrilled to find that I can modify the stylesheets for Qt myself and was able to improve a lot of things. I was also able to change the trace colors to be a little dimmer. But I still can't figure out how to address anything that's not a Qt control, mainly the data display areas in Logic and Scope. I'd like to set the background to #1E1E1E (like Visual Studio Code) and bring the full brightness values (anything with a 255 in it) to something less bright. Is this possible? I've attached my latest version of the stylesheets along with screenshots pointing out the places I'm having problems. This is with 3.17.19 (beta). Thanks! --chris BetterDark.css
  11. The AD3450 only has a 14 bit ADC in it. For repeated signals it can software enhance that up to 16 bits. But that's far shy of what you are looking for. It sounds like a device more like the Audio Precision APx515 might be better suited for your needs (provided it has the dynamic range you need and you won't need a higher end model). The Quant Asylum QA402 may also fit the bill.
